The facts of sedation dentistry

Sedation Dentistry protocols have been used safely for over 30 years with millions of dental procedures. Before starting any treatments, Dr. Kaggen will review your medical history and explain how Sedation Dentistry can work for you. We want you to feel good about going forward towards a healthy, new smile.

On the day of your appointment, a companion will accompany you to the office. You will be escorted to a comfortable room where we will carefully monitor your vital signs. The medication will then be administered through an IV line. If you are doing Oral Sedation, instead of an IV line, the medication will be taken as pills. Experienced clinical team members will make certain that you're relaxed and completely comfortable. After you are completely comfortable, Dr. Kaggen will perform all of your planned treatment. Dr. Kaggen monitors you very closely while you're sedated. Most patients feel NO DISCOMFORT whatsoever during and after treatment, and have little or no memory of the visit.
